The children compose, perform and appraise, and listen to a range of high-quality music.

The children have opportunities to refine their composition skills and participate in creative performances. They learn to control sound in their singing and playing. They show a good knowledge and understanding of the inter-related dimensions of music, and of a range of music styles. They have an understanding of musical eras and some of the great composers.
