Oxon CE Primary School

Current Vacancies

Oxon is a large primary school with approximately 420 children on roll.  It is situated on the western side of Shrewsbury in an area that has seen a considerable number of new houses built in the last thirty years.  Over that time the school has grown from two classes to fourteen classes.  For the last fourteen years the school has been close to capacity.

Our school is a lively and successful organisation, full details about the school can be found within our website.  The school underwent an Ofsted inspection in June 2023 and was judged to 'continue to be an outstanding school' this followed the 'outstanding' judgement in May 2016.   A link to the full report can be found on the school website.

At Oxon we have a major commitment to high standards in all areas of the curriculum and across school life.  We believe that the culture of teamwork and mutual support is a vital element in achieving success.  The school has a detailed induction process for new staff.
