Focus area: ‘Why is Brazil important to us?’

The children learn about the main geographical similarities and differences between their locality and a region of South America - Brazil. They investigate physical features such as vegetation belts and climatic zones whilst considering the human geography of the region such as land use and economic activity. A range of geographical skills are introduced whilst the children develop an understanding of the importance of Brazil to us in the UK.
