Focus areas: ‘Citizenship’ (including finance), ‘Safety’, ‘Health’, ‘Relationships and Sex Education’ and ‘Personal Development’.
At the start of the year the children have the opportunity to identify their strengths and achievements. They then set goals and targets that they want to achieve. The children develop an understanding of risks they may face and how these should be managed. They explore issues such as friendship, bullying, caring for others and school rules.
