The children compose, perform and appraise, and listen to a range of high-quality music.
The children participate in performance and learn to control sound through singing and playing. They create musical compositions using tuned and un-tuned instruments and have developed their listening skills through different experiences and activities. Children show increased confidence in their use of terminology relating to the inter-related dimensions of music. In Year 5, children begin to learn the ukulele, using a small range of chords.
